Report: Ujiri granted permission to meet with Toronto

Per Yahoo! Sports, Nuggets GM and NBA Executive of the Year Masai Ujiri has been granted permission by the organization to speak with the Toronto Raptors.

Maple Leaf Sports and Entertainment CEO Tim Leiweke is reportedly set to make an offer that of almost $3 million annually, tripling Ujiri’s current salary. His contract with the Nuggets expires on June 30th. 

Some of Ujiri’s notable moves include the Carmelo Anthony trade, acquiring Andre Iguodala and drafting Kenneth Faried. Team President Josh Kroenke has a close relationship with Ujiri and has expressed his desire for the GM to return.

George Karl Named NBA Coach of the Year

George Karl has been named the 2012-2013 NBA Coach of the Year, he received 62 first place votes from a panel of 121 journalists and broadcasters. Karl led the NBA's third-youngest roster to a team-record 57 wins and the Western Conference's third seed. It's the first time he has won the award in his 25 seasons coaching in the NBA.
